There's a time and place for playing most hands. But can't criticize for playing 9-7 without knowing position, villains, and preflop action.
Lost 7 buyins @ 5-10 and 2-5 in one afternoon/evening once. Lost a buyin an hour. Until you've had swings like that you don't know bad beats. :P If any of you guys will be at WSOP in Vegas this summer let me know.
I don't play much anymore (traditional job = less variance, less stress). Play as a profitable hobby now so I don't rage at piddly bad beats.
