As a new player. I agree with a lot that was said by this fella. I have had a total of 2 groups my entire play time on this server. I have been playing a little over a month now , (casually, mind you). A exp increase won't fix the majority of the problems that was stated, however it would help some of them. Such as, getting to level 50 quicker for pvp and groups. As well as promoting new players to come play on a server in hopes too catch up to the real population.
I feel the exp bonus decrease was a bad idea personally. It was one of the +'s this server had going for it to play on. There needs to be more incentive to drive new players to come here. I feel a lot could be done. For example yellow text pvp kill messages have been wanted since server start. Resist need to be looked at too. I really dislike making Everquest easier for people ,however certain things need to happen to drive a player base.
Ultimately, in order to drive a player base up in my opinion. The devs , and gms of this server need to listen and play a active roll to support it's player base. I feel red99 is like the charity work of blue99. Nilborg is giving his attention to us more often than he use to. Sirken himself stepped up to really put in some work in gming. We also have I believe a new guide assisting players. Truth be told red99 is secondary to blue99. Nilborg is cluster fucked with Velious no doubt. Let alone the bug fixes etc for blue99 and sometimes red. We need a Dev that cares about this server. With Null gone, all we have is Sundawg. Judging by his current fixes and lack of community relations. It would appear he only serves that in which benefits him personally and or his guild. Rogean himself just looks like he patches once in a while and codes some minor things. What Red99 needs is a Dev devoted to it. That way we don't have to rely on Nilborg crumbs (Which we are greatful for) to help. Once red99 has a active Dev that cares as much as Sirken. I feel server would be grand.
In closing bringing back the exp bonus to what it was is a start.
