It may be classic, but it's fugly. I take classic to mean something that adds to the "classic" feel of the game (e.g., the fact that early EQ was tough and had a different feel than Luclin+), not minute aesthetics like name plates. Not everything that was classic was good (much of it developers later realized was stuff that they ending up fixing--i.e., name plates). I am not really sure how keeping name plates like this adds to the classic feel of the game. The same is true with options like "Show/Hide Helm"--if some peeps hate the graphics of their helms, let them hide it; it doesn't detract from classic feel for others and ADDS to the experience of the game for those people who might want to use such an option. This race to make literally everything classic is getting ridiculous. Looks like I'll simply be rolling it /anon.
