I played my bard up to 50, and the only time I've ever stolen agro, is because I wanted to be a dick to the tanks and mock at how pathetic their disease cloud is.
I'm playing a warrior right now, and as I've stated before, I can out agro a shadowknight or paladin easily. The ONLY thing I can't do, is taunt mobs higher level than me, so that's why I rely on procs in that case.
It's not a question of whether a warrior needs to sit there and build up agro or anything, it's the fact that the bard needs to take off that fucking agro stick from hell and stop dying because of it.

Well, at earlier levels (pre-25) if a warrior chooses not to be dual wielding tentacle whips, it's reasonable for the warrior to have to build up a bit of aggro.
What's the "aggro stick from hell"? Staff of writhing? I use staff of writhing and PGT and I almost never steal aggro at my level.
