Don't you mean they handed TR/IB the dragons? IB/TR confirmed not a single kill in VP that wasn't a rotation or forced sharing.
If it wasn't for that forced sharing and the ill-fated rotation ("IB" still facepalming over this one I'm sure) IB/TR probably wouldn't have a single kill in VP. Unless Faz gets us suspended =P

You can argue what could have/would have/should have happened in the past, but that's not the point. In fact, I've already ceded that the ONLY real TMO victory during that period of time was successfully running TR out of VP with trains. That's it, and that's because it was Zeelot who did it. Every other TMO accomplishment was only made possible due to merging with ascension and being known as a zerg. Remember wiping to draco with 30+ and using hoops? Remember wiping to gore with 60? Remember when you finally beat her with with 70? Pepperidge farms remembers.
Jeremy try to recall and list TMO's accomplishments prior to the Ascension merger in August of 2011.
What had TMO killed? Here's a list:
Vox: once (server repop)
Fay: once (server repop)
VS: once (server repop)
Innoruuk: once (co-raid with VD to beat IB)
Naggy: .5 (TMO poop socked for 36 hours, yet IB had FTE and got xp/loot.. they still claim a win? lol)
Tal: 0
Sev: 0
Gore: 0
Trak: 0
Draco: once (co-raid with IB)
CT: 0
That's what TMO had accomplished. They were the #4 guild on the server behind VD, Ascension, and IB. Arguably behind Divinity as well. Their accomplishments consisted of Finally killing Spiroc Lord for the first time a month before Kunark dropped (lmao) and farming planar gear for members. All other accomplishments were achieved on server resets or with other guilds. They were able to do nothing on their own.
The months between August 2011 - February 2012 TMO merged with ascension forming "the zerg", got FTE on enough Traks to allow Rogean to let them rotate VP on opening night with TR (TMO still refers to THIS as earning their way into VP btw.. I am not impressed, nor should you be), and had many minor victories in between until ultimately Amelinda lifted a raid suspension for TMO half way through without a single non-IB person finding out while VD/IB were serving theirs out.
This, along with Uthgaard burning an effigy of IB's guildleader, various raid disputes, and as later found out early epic pieces being awarded to TMO members lead to the dissappearance of most of 2 entire guilds that no longer wished to play on the server and gave TMO free reign.
That's why TMO is where there are today. That's what they call "earning" things 'round these parts.
