Probably more people would like you if you didn't spend 80% of your time in groups AFK, and the 20% you are there is while the tank is going from 100 - 80%.
Doubt that's the reason you were shunned by Azrael though, they are pretty much willing to recruit anyone not tagged Nihilum.
