I haven't played for a few months, but I think it's kinda hilarious how picky people are starting to get about this. I played a troll shaman named Mehav Itchybawz through classic and up until omens of war basically, ran into gm's many times, had many conversations with them and never once was my name warned or removed. In fact multiple times they praised me for originality and thought it was a great comedic name, fitting for a troll.
There is a fine line though between poking fun at your race or class combinations and vulgar names like Kumbucket or celebrity names and some of the other retarded names people throw around here. In the end this is up to the discretion of the gms obviously but I can only hope you guys are going after the actual offensive names and not fun ones for the love of god. If people don't personally like a name because it isn't rp enough then that is their problem. Renaming people based on comedic combinations or phrases is fail imo, that is like the bread and butter of any gaming name/alias, as long as it is not offensive toward people I really don't get why you would enforce it, especially here.

From an RP aspect, it is quite possible that your toon's "parents" were as effed-up as some RL ones by choosing "cute" or "funny" names for their kids.
Examples:
Kal-El Coppola (Nicholas Cage's)
Moon-Unit Zappa
Dweezil Zappa
Other names:
Pina Colada, Cosmo Ranger, Yahoo,
Wrangler, Candy Stohr, Seamore Butts, Harry Bush, Page Turner, Lotta Bull, Nighten Day ET AL...
IMO, unless it is something downright freaking nasty or racist, the names should stay.
