one time i was dicking around on a lvl 1 in rivervale and hammertime, on some other char name i didnt recognize, randomly sent me a tell, "hey is this zlarner?"
obviously i replied yes, then he asked me what i wanted for the wizard account. i had no idea what he was talking about, but this was in classic so i said , "manastone or mith 2her". he told me he had a mith 2her and would i like to make the trade?
i said yes, how would you like to proceed with this transaction?
hammer walked me through all the steps he would require me to do so he could log onto the eqemu account, change the login password, then he would give me the sword and login the guy.
i chatted him up asking questions while i set up a fake email, fake eqemu account, and fake login account that all lined up with what he was telling me about this other guy he thought he was talking to.
he gave me mith 2her and i promptly logged off, leaving him to find out he had traded his beloved sword for a blank account. i hopped on an alt like an hour later and he was still spamming ooc looking for the guy he thought he was talking to.
i had no idea it was hammertime until after someone was talking about what happened in vent. got nothing against him specifically, was just already emotionally detached from the server and did it for the lulz.
