Teams being fair is not up to me, its up to the guilds. if Azrael didnt have a bard, they should try to recruit some bards. however this tournament you are referring to is known as the "Test of Tactics" and that will be coming after the Red BotBs.

We have three active bards actually, and I believe only lite has the gear to be competitive. However the event was early enough in the day (and I'm not attacking you for this Sirken, I know you have your reasons for setting the time where it was and I still <3 you for the event) that our bards hadn't even gotten home yet I believe as they are usually all on daily.

Was kind of disappointing at the start of the event because azrael didn't have lite or andis present during the captains match and we had no idea if they would be there in time for the 6v6 or not.

In terms of ideas to improve these events I have sadly been suggesting similar ideas to heartbrand's in our teamspeak (coincidence? teehee). Caster event and Melee event is effectively the most balanced way to do it before class botbs. Bards would obviously get stuck in the caster event as their melee is pitiful and do most of their work with their songs and the melee would never be able to catch a bard.

Another thing in terms of the free for all, in the first even nihilum were organized and downed key azrael targets early on. In this event we called out key nihilum targets to drop so that we would get a 2nd person in the championship (was supposed to be sickpuppy but big Andis came through big in the end). I don't think there is any way to stop the big guilds from teaming up in this way, making the FFA not quite as fun or exciting as it should be.

I like the captain event the way it's set up, however if there had been a 2nd tstaff monk present our team probably would have been wiped out. Mellow was made a captain instead of dekedenz and tune was given first pick, thus locking the only 2 bards onto one team (near unbeatable advantage if they had a tstaff monk). I'm aware of everyone saying we were bitching about that too much, but if we hadn't had the only tstaff monk on our team, it might have gone much different (though i'm honestly not sure since they didn't seem to have organized targetting at all). I just really feel that bards should be split up, especially with the current state of the tstaff proc.

If I think of any more to add I'll be sure to let you know.

And big love to Sirken for throwing these events, that was a lot of fun and I can't wait for the next one.
