I have a z77 myself altho a different bios version, I notice when I change my 'turbo mode' and the ' intel speedboost' tabs to disabled, and then increase the cpu ratio manually, the bios automaticly changes the speedboost and turbo modes to enabled.
Perhaps try leaving them enabled instead of manually disabling them and then increasing the value.
