just because a bios version doesnt support your processor doesnt mean your computer cant work for 8 months... my roommate had this issue where his computer was working fine and then all of the sudden was crashing constantly and we found that the entire time his bios did not support his cpu. its a simple check to see if they are compatible you dont have to flash the bios first but at least make sure. his mobo was also ASUS
