Sometimes I think that this server has a great sense of community, and at other times, I feel like its just full of trolls and griefers.
On classic live, the majority of players seemed more helpful and communal. I know that on P 1999 we have some great players and very helpful people, but they often get hidden beneath the drama and selfish player who ruins it for everyone. I guess I never noticed so many angry people on live, and I feel sometimes the experience of friendly, casual players will never be had again.
I played a woof elf ranger on live and never knew that it was a "bad" choice. I never had anyone not want me in a group. I was always welcomed because I had snare and could lull as a puller. There was this naive sense that we were all in this together. We all were just so excited to explore Norrath.
Do you all think that the larger portion of higher level characters has increased the hostility of the playerbase by competition? I never went to the forums or raided on live. Were the forums and guilds so mean to each other even then?
