After the first time it happened, the third day of playing, I decided this would not be something to put too much effort into. Even if I did start a new account, there is no guarantee I will hit 60 and not have this same issue.

Just saying from my experience in researching this issue it affects certain accounts and you usually experience it very quickly after creating the account and playing. So, if you were to create a new account and not experience the issue then that account should be fine.
