So having just started a ranger I will list what I have twinked mine with. On slots I have two or more items listed, some are swapped out for tanking or dps.

Gloves: Darkmain Gauntlets (Kedgemail would technically be best for dps but they are no drop)

Shoulders: Crested Spaulders, Rusty Spiked Shoulderpads
Cape: Hooded Black Cloak
Boots: Ivy Etched, Dwarven Workboots
Rings: Djarn's Amethyst Ring, Platinum Fire Wedding, Platinum Fire Emerald X 2
Main Hand: Short Sword of the Ykesha, Electrum Bladed Wakizashi
Off Hand: Short Sword of the Ykesha, Electrum Bladed Wakizashi
Ranged: Raincaller
