Monks are cheap and easy to twink. It is very easy to have a lot of fun with them (sell a couple high quality bear skins and you'll have a 23/28 weapon before the damage cap is even lifted. Out of all the classes, I think monks are definitely the best for new(ish) players. They also have the least down time imo.
