I think people don't stick around because it's not fun to get 2 shotted when you have put a pretty respectable amount of time and effort into your toon. It's not fun to basically be on even footing with someone wearing crushbone gear because 120 resist has the same effect as base resists. It's not always fun to constantly fight an uphill battle against what, in many cases, are shitty players with amazing gear..
