if you have to ask, then your heart is not into it.
Dwarf stats are great.
But I would never make one - its a matter of principle. I would make either human paladin - cause its classic, or high elf, cause they cool, despite pretty horrible stats for melee. But I would be fine with that cause I like the looks.
If you trying to min/max, then consider this: In high end game stats maxed out so quickly that the only REAL choice people have to make is between stun immunity of Ogre or extra AC/regen in Velious for Iksar. And this only concerns classes like war, sk or shaman. For any other class it doesn't matter what you make, as long as you like how it looks
