Regarding the anti-8 sentiment... I understand. I'm pretty much an MS fanboy and for the longest time I swore I would never go Windows 8. It's definitely a sort of hybrid right now and it STILL bugs me that one is forced to go straight into Metro on a desktop system.
Having said all this, I understand why they did it. I will also say that there are a lot of nice improvements under the hood. You can get to the old-style desktop UI with one keystroke. I'll get over it.
In the end, I am a developer and I have to switch to Windows 8 in order to build Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 targets. So, that's that. However, my EQ addition is so strong that I would maintain a second PC just for EQ on Windows 7 if I had too. I see now that I don't have to. Thanks for all the input (especially the helpful input
