I have also been experiencing this intermittently.
When zoning into, or logging into a character in, EC the client hangs at the loading screen (after the bar has completed). Sometimes waiting lets me in eventually, other times I'm not so lucky.
No fix that i know of. But I've been playing off and on for awhile and only started noticing this in the last couple of days.
