The 'catch' isn't complete until the player goes to the ground in this case. Both had two hands on it when they went to the ground, so I think dual possession applies.

Look at it again. Jennings has 2 hands on the ball clutched against his chest with 2 feet on the ground. Tate has 1 hand on the ball against Jennings chest. You tell me who qualifies as having possession FIRST, which is what matters.
