Honestly this is a dumb idea. And if its to tranfser naked toons over, why bother? just start newly created toons here at level 50 (or 60,whatever people are pushing for) and save us the hassle of digging through our friends stables of dozens of toons trying to decide which to copy over.
If it comes to this (and im sure it wont, this thread is a waste of space), i'd not play on the server anyways. If I wanted pre-made characters w/ pvp i'd play guildwars 1.

Giving people characters, and allowing people to transfer characters they have already put the effort in leveling are significantly different. You can say it's easier leveling on blue because people are not ganking you but the 50% exp bonus, which has been in effect the entire time YOU have been playing on red more then makes up for it.
That said, it's still a non issue because for some of us who have been a part of this community for a long time playing on red wasn't an option, it didn't exist. We were forced to invest our time into blue if we wanted to play classic EQ at all and when red came out do you think it would have been fair to transfer then? Obviously not but a lot of us had already invested a ton of time into characters and just discarding those characters and starting fresh would be our only option. But not all of us have that kind of time to invest into a game, especially to repeat the content you had just beat to death for almost 2 years.
Now that the servers are at the same spot in the timeline, this would be the ONLY time it would ever make sense to transfer characters over without it granting huge advantages to those that do it. But hey, you seem smart, if a flood of new blood onto the server doesn't sound appealing to you (because for some reason you feel that you leveling a toon on red took more effort then leveling one on blue) then so be it, sounds like you got it figured out...
