This morning I was awoken by my alarm clock powered by electricity generated by the public power company and paid for on a consumption basis by individual consumers.

I then took a shower in the clean water provided by my payment of the water bill each month and delivered by the municipal water utility.

After that, I turned on the TV that I purchased with the ~50% of gross income that the government let me keep to one of the channels that are paid for through capitalistic advertisement and subscriptions to see what my capitalistic, wealthy local weatherman equipped with technology and radar provided by capitalistic advertising dollars from large companies determined the weather was going to be using satellites designed & built by hard working capitalistic companies that employed hard working engineers, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration that receives funding from my tax dollars. I watched this while eating my breakfast sold at a free market grocery store and marketed and produced by a capitalistic company that was able to meet my needs as a consumer.

At the appropriate time as regulated by more taxpayer funded government agencies and kept accurate by even more taxpayer funded government agencies and yet another government funded public agency, I get into my automobile that I was somehow able to afford after regulation, taxes and licensing with another portion of my money that the government let me keep, and set out to work on the roads paid for by my taxes and built by taxpayer funded organizations, possibly stopping to purchase $4 per gallon fuel assuming I can afford it, using legal tender issued by another taxpayer funded government organization and printed by another taxpayer funded organization. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via electronic mail or FedEx due to the inefficiency of the USPS and drop the kids off at the public school funded entirely by my $6,000 per year in property taxes.

I park my car on the street, paved and maintained by my tax dollars, and put more of my money into the parking meter that was funded by my tax dollars.

Then, after spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the inherent fact that people generally aren't crazy, I drive back to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the quality building standards that I looked for when purchasing a house, and which has not been plundered of all its valuables thanks to the investment I made in locks for my doors.

I then log onto the Internet which was paid for by some more of the left over money and post on an Everquest emulator forum about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right. Keep government out of my Medicare because I've only got about $5 left!
