Exact same thing started happening to be. I am also using AT&T.
I thought it was just my install because I had been bypassing the patcher so I tryed to do a fresh install and things got even worst. None of the usual tactics are working.

I unfortunately think its some issue on our end with AT&T. Whether it e nodes or something they have limited for security issues we seem to be cut off from the eq p1999 world as of now.
