You can draw all sorts of analogies to the world of sports. For example, you have world records in swimming with swimmers in textile suits or swimmers in modern suits. You have powerlifters who have two competition categories: 'raw' and 'normal'. Normal allows stiff suits and knee wraps which add 300+ lbs to the bench press and squat.
I saw all this coming from the beginning which is why I established the two categories of S or 'raw' and S- or 'normal'. I think they are both reasonable rule sets, and I think that doing mobs without clickies is more impressive, but I think its also cool to push the limits of what can be done with them. I got owned by Chottal last night despite my puppet strings

Also I would be quite impressed if a Rogue can achieve GM even with Puppet Strings. The reason the strings are so strong for enchanters and shaman is that we can haste the pet and slow the opponent, and suddenly a L50 pet can kill a L55-56 mob. Not to mention that (except for the current hide/cast exploit) there is no way to get the boss mobs solo for a Rogue. I know Ploktor in particular is the ultimate 'Honorary Enchanter' in terms of Bladestopper and Strings but personally I find it cool that he can push the boundaries of the class.
TL;DR: I have S and S- if you don't like puppet strings.
edit: I did decide to revive the D- category, because lets face it makes a big difference when Svenn and I have two pets instead of one.
