I'll keep looking for that perfect server or play any of the other MMOs without item loot for now (read: yeah right).
I know people, myself included on live that lost "shiny loots" playing and didn't quit. *Shrug* gives people something to do other than farm camps and xp for progression and really promotes a PK/Anti-PK mentality.

People that never played it have a hard time understanding it. It really is all about the PK/Anti-PK. Right now it is Zerg/Anti-Zerg mentality and it is boring. Eventually the Anti-Zerg becomes the zerg and it goes back and forth.
Item loot actually pairs people with the same mind set in guilds. Personality shows and shit gets real.
