How large is the filesize? I mean is it obviously "uncompressed" or does it seem to be small enough to probably be some kind of compressed video format?
Is it possible that the .RAW extension is just an arbitrary extension the software renames it to make it
seem proprietary? I've come across instances where I was unable to find info about a specific file extension, only to find out that the file is ACTUALLY something more common just renamed with an extension to make it look proprietary.

VLC Player would probably be able to read the file regardless if this is the case though, as long as it has the actual codec like Caridry mentioned.
