I do like the part where you're so proud of overcoming the gear disadvantage you guys had though. I mean we're ignoring the fact that you were farming sky before kunark was released and the only gear you need to kill dragons is made by an enchanter rite?

Yeah I was around for awhile, just never really cared about raiding back then.
I played around in the planes some before Kunark with TMO but never anything serious (TMO didn't have enough dedicated then to be serious about it). About a week before Kunark I stopped playing and rejoined around August. TMO was moving toward more serious raiding (with the merge) and I was dtf.
Farming SKY? I wouldn't say TMO was farming that much of sky and it's true that resist gear is mostly all that is needed for the dragons. However, when your guild (IB) is decked out in dragon haste/god loot (+more sky loot), it helps. So you guys had the gear to do it with less, where as other guilds had to form up and use more people. With batphones the way they are, your guild can pull sooner where as another has to rely on more members logging in (with an even #'s race). Gaining DA members who had farmed most of SKY prekunark definitely helped. However, (as everyone knows) IB gained nearly as many DA members as TMO.
So yeah, I'd say TMO did overcome the gear advantage held by IB. You can call it being proud, I just see it as how it is.
