Here's my experience with LoZ so far:
-Log on, see lots of childish crap in /ooc. Not too big a problem, it is after all a PvP server and they tend to attract the idiots.
-Make a new character and level seriously fast, so fast I don't even have the money to buy my new spells.
-Make another new character in Freeport, try to zone into East Commonlands and it crashes me to login screen with a "Server is not responding" message. Make a dark elf and try to zone from Nektulos as a test, and same problem.
-Log off for the night. Next day log in and still have that problem with EC. No idea why. Asking in /ooc just leads to all the idiots acting like idiots, and the forum is dead so there's no help there either. Not only that, someone from ingame followed me to the forum and posted the same crap they were berating me with ingame in my Client Support thread, all because of the name of the character I used when asking in /ooc. Now that's what I call being dedicated to being an asshole!
-A few hours later problem just magically fixes itself for no reason. I can log in to EC now. I did nothing to fix it. I just tried to log in that character again and crossed my fingers.
-Log that character off to play my main. Try zoning him into The Overthere, and get "Server is not responding", just like EC. Retry multiple times before giving up in frustration for the night.
-Next day log on and see if the character and zone are working yet, since the day before EC fixed itself somehow. Nope, not working. Ok I'll try later. Later comes, still not working. Try about an hour ago and it's magically fixed. I'm finally in The Overthere! Took 11 hours and overnight but I'm there.
-Take the boat to Timorous Deep and translocate to Oasis (I need to get to EC to buy spells). "Server is not responding" AGAIN. Retry a few times in frustration with no luck and log off facepalming.
Wtf is the problem with that server? I've never had these zoning issues with any other game ever, including p99 and r99. After like half a day the connection problem magically fixes itself, but it's apparently guaranteed I'll just run into it again with another zone.
R99 may be dead, but at least it's playable still and you can zone without problems and without getting your characters stuck in limbo for who knows how long.
