There are several hundred level 50s on this server, who easily reached 50 with pvp exp loss, and to whom exp loss presently means nothing. If exp loss is the main issue, why aren't they playing when exp doesn't matter? Logic obviously flawed.

I do agree however, though it certainly isn't in the "top 10" things that hurt the server. More so than now, pvp exp loss would be bad for the server in kunark with the grind to 60 (3% in 51-60 is an hour as opposed to a few minutes). If you really think about it though, item loot you claim to be in favor of would represent far more time lost than those 10-20 minutes of exp you claim to be of such importance from one pvp exp death. The argument just doesn't hold water.
I dont play cuz pop is dead and cuz i think server game mechanics will make it stay dead, doesnt mean i wouldnt come back if things got better.

I guess for a hardcore PVEer like yourself, who has no intention whatsoever to spend entire sessions pvping, xp loss in pvp is a non-issue. For a noob rolling on the server, thinking hell do some fun pvping on the way up, taking his time with good long sessions of pvp along the way, it will matter. Its not just about you. Even if hes a hardcore blubie like you and doesnt wanna pvp, xp loss will annoy the fuck out of him cuz hes not already on top and got nothing to twink his character with.

Item loss would make the server more interesting COUPLED WITH SETS OF NO DROP SETS. Important difference. You could also GAIN items by running around naked ganking twinks 4v1. As i explained.

The thing is, as some non-trolls will readily admit, i am not the best player (Ecoli the Shaman) but im not exactly the worst either. I may not kill that much, but ive done more than a few good escapes where i got triple my numbers on my ass and i escape. Even though I dont die that much, even as someone who did 80% pvp and 20% leveling on Rallos, dying a couple of times a day and having to regrind that shit gets old real quick.

This is not about me, me, me. Its about repopulating the server. I already got my shit. Ive played eve online and dealt with stuff that is 10X worse than xp loss on red99. With kunark, ill be able to camp the best items in the game alone and twink myself to hell. The point is im thinking about whats best for the server, what will make a newbie look around on the server and not log off after 2 days.

Its certainly not getting ganked over and over in field of bones for the lulz by a twink who has no gear on the line on his griefing alt and with his PL buddy who will make him gain that lost xp back in no time, unlike the noobs hes griefing.

Also the problem with this server is the shitty ass trolling community and people who think only of their (Griefing, MY PRECIOUS(pixels)!) fun and have no long term care about the health of the server. AKA no xp loss in pvp = more challenge to our PVE pixels, no hardcore griefing noobs out of the server. Unfortunatly, thats something devs have no control over. They do have control on the xp loss mechanic though, which im hoping they will come around to eventually.

Most proponents of xp loss in pvp are usually people who already know the game in and out, like Founding Fathers/Holocaust who like to get their lols griefing noobs off the server or PVEers who couldnt pvp themselves out of a wet paper bag to save their lives and do not want to let go of their number advantage.

I think i might have been so fucking annoying with this though that theres a chance they wont implement it to not let me "win" lol. Im like a pitbull they say
