Its neat how months of contested raid kills/items all of a sudden become "uncontested" when people leave the server.
Kunark levels the playing field. To beat a good guild, you have to actually recruit people, which means not being social retards, the illness most of the people from the eq pvp community suffer from. If you can overcome this handicap (which you personally may not have), you'd be perfectly capable of competing.
If you think you are gonna win legit EQ at 2012 with 10 good players, you will end up leaving sore like everyone else. Its not 1999 RZ where 95% is completely incompetent and can be run over by 10 dudes, regardless of their skill.
