Glad I came to this thread. Was quite tired and slightly sick when I finally got around to watching it last night and have had a real problem trying to figure out what the fuck I just watched. I think the first thing that helped it to start making more sense was separating the altiverse into a "no-time" zone or whatever.
It's starting to make more sense - though, I must say there are a few things I really wanted to have answered that weren't. Not finding out more about Walt kinda pissed me off as they made him up to be very *special* early on in the series.
