Who's losing their progress, you ask? Well, me for one. I haven't logged in for weeks but I still don't want to lose my character in case the population turns around. I invested around 15 days of played time into my Bard and really enjoyed it. If the server wiped I wouldn't come back, and neither would a lot of people. I don't want to spend another minute grinding back up to 50, and I don't want to have the insecurity of knowing my character could be wiped at any moment. Some people are (naively I admit) waiting for Kunark, or PoSky, and still want their characters in tact even though they aren't online right now. That's too much of a risk to take just because you have some hunch that people "like a fresh start".

Let me try to make this simpler (I mean this in the least condescending way possible):

You have two choices, one is implementing a bunch of changes, the other is wiping and reopening with those changes implemented. If the changes you implement are good enough to bring people back after wiping, then they're good enough to bring people back if you don't wipe. You just need to bring lots of people back at once, which means you need to advertise the changes well beforehand. Wiping isn't necessary and will just deter many players from rerolling and investing their time into the server. Rogean said "we're never going to do a wipe", so people would lose trust if he suddenly wiped the server.

Also, give up on LoZ, and stop advertising it on these forums. It's a waste of your time to roll on a server whose population will never hit triple digits (even with boxing allowed). At least red99 is salvageable due to having years of dev work put into it and not being colossally buggy.
I think you're hopelessly out of touch with the red playerbase to the point of naivete, and have not acknowledged that the population isn't going to magically come back because of a PvE content release or cramming more zones/grind into a server that doesn't need them. Time to be more open-minded about this.

My assumptions on player interest aren't "a hunch" - it's years of experience on the pvp servers that came before this one. Do you really think a restart wouldn't pique interest and spike/multiply the population, at this point? Yes, you reach the point where player trust/security is impacted (VZTZ wiped too many times), but I wouldn't have suggested it if I thought that would be an issue. And at some point if this server is to be salvaged, something has to be done. What's your solution.... release Kunark?

I agree that LoZ is pretty god damn buggy. I've also heard in the past that Devnoob is kind of shady, but at this point apparently more people are willing to trust him because he's at least active and communicative.

Your insistence on classic exp rate is what I meant when I said blue server ideology - you always argued in favor of that, and even admit that you'd hate to climb back up to 50 at the current rate. I would, too. The VZTZ exp rate should have been in on this server from the start. It's not even my personal preference. It's me talking to people who refused to play here because it was too slow and time consuming. That exp rate only works if you have a decent amount of players in most of the zones. Demanding that players here solo grind their way up just to see pvp is really shitty and unclassic.
