On live whoever was first in zone with about 2-3 groups of people got the first shot at whatever raid boss was up. On p99 you have to glitch/hack/train to win mobs from TMO if you want to see content/progress. Its very sad that no guild but TMO/IB+VD has seen kunark in its entirety since its been out and likely none will be able to until Velious comes out. Now you're all gonna say "well thats their fault for being newbs" well its an emulated server and alot of people here have lives/wish to play without dedicating ALL of their free time to it, which is literally impossible due to the absolute coddling of TMO on this server.
There are no repercussions for TMO greifing/cockblocking every other guild into submission so it will continue to be this way until the population eventually fizzles down to nothing. If you think about it, Blue99 has TMO to grief players off the server in the exact same way Red has assholes griefing people off that server. They continue to kill mobs that they dont need items from to prevent other guilds from killing these mobs. Just last week Innoruuk popped and TMO killed him and left all the items on his corpse, there are epic peices from innoruuk that were looted but none of which were looted by a player who immediately needed it. I assume they were looted/MQ'd for an alt or just banked to prevent any other guild from acquiring a ranger epic. Inny is an easy encounter doable by any guild on this server with 3 groups of 50+ players but since TMO feels they must continue to cockblock folks out of killing him no rangers will get their epic until TMO says its ok.
My character has been max level/geared for quite a while now (I farmed over 400kpp soloing to buy ES bp/legs from the IB folks who were forced off server because my guild wont ever get a shot o kill VS/Trakanon until velious has been out for a while even though we have the levels/gear/players to take them out on our best days.) There is literally nothing left for me to do on this server but level alts and pray my guild may get lucky and nab a boss mob in kunark once or twice so I can get to see some new shit before velious. I assume there are many in this position and I'm starting to grow bored of p99 with the atmosphere the way it is here.
I know the population will rise again and velious will open new shit out, but to be forced to wait a year and for a new expansion to see the content released in the previous expansion sucks ass; and it was not like that on live at all during classic. P99 is supposed to be as true to "Classic" live as possible right, well why let TMO ruin that continuously by catering to their zerg force? Take for example the Cazic Thule Encounter. On live whichever guild was in fear clearing the zone at the time had first shot at CT. Not whichever guild had the correct amount of people to kite an entire zone around (causing the zone to desynch/crash) while CT was zerged down. I dont even remember killing CT while fear was fully popped ever on live, this encounter on p99 is not classic(thanks to TMO.)
Not really mad, just bored and fed up with the same shit ruining this server since I started playing here. I have friends in TMO and I'm not taking any shots at the guild as people but their attitude/antics have deffinetly made this server less fun to play on. I like p99 and dont want to go to EQmac to experience the content thats 12 years old but to continually have to compete with 50% or more of p99's total population (TMO) to experience raid content thats been out for a year now is getting old and quite frustrating.
