BBCode is short for Bulletin Board Coding.

It is basically the 'coding language' that these boards use to format posts. (Calling it a language is a stretch). Its honestly just a dumbed down version of HTML, which HTML is able to read and produce different visual effects like bolding, underlining etc. (atleast thats my understanding of it)

All things must be initiated and closed. To initiate something you use brackets with the command in them. To close it you use a backslash to do it. IE:

{B} Bolded text {/B} (replacing the { } with [ ] )

Same goes for...

{Size=X} Large Text {/Size}
{Quote="PERSON NAME"} Quoted Text {/Quote}
{U} Underlined Text {/U}
{I} Italicized Text {/I}

Among others.

So... if you know the basics of this stuff its quicker than using the little icons for Bolding / sizing / coloring / underlining text cause less mouse work in highlighting shit etc.

Bold text and free bumps
