So the line of sight rules on this server in pvp are from VZTZ pretty much directly, here is how they are intended to work and how to test them:
how it works: initial cast requires line of sight, but if line of sight is disrupted at the end of a cast, the range is reduced between 35-75% depending on skill with the spell in question.
how to test:
start casting a spell at the corner of a wall and have your target move just outside of line of sight but as close as possible.
If its not working as described above then something is wrong and ill fix it, but I think this might be a case of expectations not being correct and not working code.
