That's a lot of effort to protect the very few mistakes over the confirmed hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of shit. (Not to mention the very positive effect a public ban list has on a community, hence why FPS communities keep them.)

I find the "we might make a mistake" a very, very, poor reason (if not an excuse) to not keep a public ban list.
