Only other benefit that I can think of is some form of infravision.

Dwarves get to do summersaults
Trolls get 1 hp regen
Iksars look seksy
Large races get slam
Ogres get ... Frontal stun immunity? (not actually sure here)
Air illusion gets lev
Water illusion gets EB
Earth illusion gets STR
Fire illusion gets DS
Dry bone skeleton gets FR
Werewolf illusion gets haste and atk
Spirit wolf illusion gets atk and CR
