I wasn't gonna post in this, because it's pretty ridiculous, but I will anyway as a few points crop up in my head.
Holocaust did nothing to run us off the server first and foremost. Cast can go on his little rants and try to claim it was him who ran the legendary Searyx off of this box, but we all know Cast is mentally challenged.
- This guild was not centered around Searyx, nor was it ever meant to be (from my understanding at least from reading up on this before I joined a little over 2 weeks ago), but it was a guild of people from TZT who wanted to play classic eq pvp.
Next, there are several people in TZ leveling at a rapid pace. I started this server with nothing, and have pushed myself into some decent gear (with a donation from Friedchicken at around 22, and help from Destin to get my Staff of the Wheel), and also got myself to level 40.
- Gildis has been leveling two characters since i got on here, both were 20 when i started. One is now 38 (or 39?) and the other is 30.
- Knitting started after me and is I think 29ish now, and the list goes on.
- Those of us who hit the roadblock were group dependent classes because we had no real organization around guild exping.
With all of that out of the way, my next point is the mental state of this server. All I see is a bunch of whiny, pompous, and sometimes mentally challenged idiots crying over shit classic pvp doesn't NEED.
- Global ooc, can be nice but seriously why the fuck do you need to be able to talk acrossed the server unless you're just that attention starved?
- Yellow text, NOBODY GIVES A FUCK if you killed some random kid in Upper Guk. The only time this is usefull is the extremely rare occasion where someone is being bind camped. Once again NOT NECESSARY.
- GM interaction, I will give you guys this one. Rogean should be more involved in this project. However spamming threads and spamming him PM's isn't going to make him come back any faster. ******It is the retards on this forum who scared him away from ever having a hand in this server.******
- Lack of content release, this was probably also needed. However, refer back to my previous point to see why you guys don't have it yet.
- Lastly the griefing, it was bound to happen. Everquest on live desolved to griefing over content throughout it's entire existence. The problem lies with people's attitudes over what happens to them.
Most of you guys think because someone did something shitty to you, that you should turn around and do something shitty to 5 more people just to vent the anger you feel. You created this mess, and now you're living in this vortex of bullshit that you helped create.
The reason emu's like this continue to fail has nothing to do with the people running the servers. It all comes down to retards getting mad and not caring anymore and just poisoning the server and its morale until it desolves into something not worth playing anymore.
Aside from the bullshit mob pathing (pathing through walls is beyond irritating yes) this was a great box. The retards still living in mom's basement who have nothing better to do with their lives than poopsock a classic eq server, because it reminds them of a time when they actually liked who they were as a person are what kill these Emu's over and over.
