I've been playing a monk on Red since it went live. Casters own you in PvP outside of dungeons. Inside of dungeons, it's less uneven. Iksar monks are much better at lower levels, especially for solo play. In the high-end game, race won't matter much. BW to 70%, Fungi tunic and monk weapons such as T-Staff (along with new resist gear) will make a big difference.
