My shaman is 36 now, and I've been looking around for a new spot after the saltwater crocs at AC went light blue. Trouble is, in this new level range I seem to be taking a lot more damage than I was before. So soloing is less efficient than it was. My current method is:

haste, regen and buff me
haste pet
send pet
slow
scourge
melee
then sometimes winter's roar

This used to work fine, but now that mobs are hitting for ~80 I am losing too much health. Root rotting seems to use too much mana, especially since enstil breaks quite often.

Any ideas for a more efficient method? I figure pet can be used to make this work better, not sure how though. Also, for what it's worth, my gear is mostly totemic with a couple of jaundice pieces and the odd bit of hp and wis in jewellery.

Thanks
1. dont use enstill, keep using root
2. root rott is the way for mobs that hit too hard
3. stack the dots and canni away
4. shaman pet is just another form of dot, dont expect much from it
5. u cant expect to be able to tank every mob as shaman, unless u have proper gear for it
