What makes EQ better imo than WoW is that you have tons of things to do in almost any situation- each class and combo of classes brings a lot of rich content and cool ways to do things in tandem to beat the obstacles - in WoW you do it "As given by the devs" and there is no other way about it- in classic eq there where many things you could do- each encounter was different depending on what you where dealing with that is the fun many times in EQ. Because face it, if we didn’t have 10 different player made ways of doing XYZ in EQ classic- all there is left is "Tank n Spank after clearing everything to X boss/named/loot mob"
Lastly, I am sorry for posting this post that may be taken as "logic" or "common sense" in rants n flame - so for good measure "Fuck _________ guild!" insert your most hated guild this week!

Shortly before I quit, in 2008, I used an AA that mages got that summons a gigantic elemental that procs AE mem blur then dies, I used it to split mobs and break camps while soloing. I also used it's stun to interrupt combat effects on mobs that should have required one group to kill (Such as Steamwork Guardian Model I in Fortress Mechanotus.) and solo them, albeit still very challenging.
Harrison would have probably told Sony on me.
