On the old Zek servers, many old school EQers WERE old school griefers. Fighting your way through the griefers and succeeding despite them(and getting help from some nice people along the way) is, for me, what makes this server a challenge and a lot of fun.
I know you're a nice dude(heck, you helped ME out when I was just starting out with some advice and stuff), but just because asshats will be asshats does not mean the server's gonna die. Quite a lot of people come here just so they can relish in the opportunity to make people mad. Is there something wrong with that? Heh, maybe. But it's a PvP server. If you weren't expecting that, why did you come here?
Your answer would probably be to fight honorably and to get loot(which you do both of). Just keep in mind that there's more than one way to play EQ, and that's what makes it great.
Even if you have to wipe griefer blood off your blade now and again.
