The people who support Kony 2012 assume that since they didn't know who Joseph Kony was, no one does and therefore awareness must be spread.
Kony hasn't been in Uganda for years. Why not raise "awareness" over serious issues in Uganda, like AIDS, child prostitution and nodding disease?
Because it doesn't fit on a bracelet you can sell for thirty bucks.
