Are you serious? Even in classic EQ auto follow and quick afk while the group is pulling and killing was a "normal" thing. Well what about the cleric in the group who sits after argo is gotten and only heals after the fight?

Autofollow is fine. But boxing is not. The first boxer i busted on red had his wife's character on auto-follow while she got their kids ready for school. That would have been fine, but he was running around greater fay making sure to get orcs between his character and his wife's character, then he'd turn auto-attack on on her computer, then on his. He healed and nuked with his wife's toon. THIS is 2-boxing and it's not okay. I don't care that it was his wife's toon & her computer and if it was "Just for a minute" He controlled both characters for AT LEAST 30 minutes. (That's how long i watched before i revealed myself)

Yes, don't even think about going afk while logged on this server. Many people have been banned for trying to pull a quick afk during downtime in groups. If you autofollow it is common courtesy to constantly type in some way to let at least one person know that your still at the keyboard (for logs). The most common method is to just constantly spam a stream of consciousness to the person your autofollowing. Don't be shy, spill your guts about everything you can think of so there is no accidental lapse of time that could be logged.

Don't listen to Abraham here. he's either trolling or misinformed. people who have grouped with my play characters have always commented on how often I go afk (i have kids and was guiding while playing for a little while) there is a difference between going afk and boxing.

The GMs here are great and very personable. For every innocent person who is banned for boxing, there are 100 that are guilty. The system works.

Well our boys wont be on the forums as there ages range from 10 to 14. But I can post character names ect if this is the route we are going. I know my boys and I can see one of them going afk to answer mom or run to rest room then get semi side tracked. Then from what I am reading face possible ban.
I think I will try and find a list of server rules so I can see exactly what we are getting into . I know I have gone afk for 20 to 30 minutes in EQ while doing this or that. I would be highly PO ifi came back and found i was baned. I think i will do that today.
As far as group and classes there was discussion if we went to EQ

Cleric
Shammie
Druid
Far as classes. Was my experience on pvp server in classic EQ that that make up will provide good exp and pvp squad. Dps heals ports slows tank ect.

Hiya - welcome to the server! DEFINITELY don't let your kids on the forums. You may also want to turn the bad word filter ON on their machines. TRUST ME.
I hope you manage to meet someone who will make a chanter or a bard (Or maybe convince the pally to roll one hehe)
Don't worry that you may end up getting banned for going afk. make SURE your kids understand the rules as well as the adults. Doesn't matter if it's the 10 year old boxing. I'll still ban. Here are things people do that they think they won't get caught boxing for:
Logging in another char JUST for a port.
Logging in a cleric JUST for a rez
Logging in a healer JUST for a quick heal.
Logging a second character to trade items.
Logging a trade mule in EC to complete a trade while grouping on your main toon.
As long as everyone understands they can only control ONE character on our server at a time (and log him out before logging in another one) then everything should be good

When. Because supposedly you haven't been able to log into the server for a year. if that's the case you've never even been around when I have suspended anyone for boxing.
if you were lying then who did i supposedly ban for 2-boxing that wasn't really?
