One other thing, make a
GM/Guide guild. It's part of the EQ magic.
Hopefully he can just pay visits to newbies sometimes, not only for reasons of making his presence felt, but people just like talking to non-hostiles sometimes! God forbid you guys get to have a little fun with your time logged in.
