When you use that word conceptualize what it does to people who used to be slaves. It is the EXACT same thing as beating a child to keep it scared. you do know that slavery currently exists today



maybe if you feel so strongly over a word that "reminds" you of a time decades ago that black people weren't treated so nice (not even slaves then) you might try to help out the current slaves of today.
