Guys, if you want the server population to grow, do what we're doing - we're contacting old guild members from 10 years ago and letting them know we're playing here. It works. We've got about a dozen old-timers playing in SGB now.
I witnessed a reunion the other day of 2 of my old officers. They were so happy to see each other they couldn't contain themselves.
