As long as people are spread out, I'm sure the server can hold 2-3 thousand. More new players would be a welcoming addition.

The closest we can get is a velious look-a-like, since the client we use is more modern than what was available back in the day. This is actually a good thing, however, as the actual classic client would have many problems running on today's computers due to advances in operating systems and etc.

*new* characters may petition to get a name that is taken as long as it meets certain requirements on our end (the character in question hasn't logged in in a very long time and is low level. In your case, Bashur is a level 1 that hasn't logged in since April 20th
2010. I would have no problem granting you this name.
