His second post was racist. He may be a racist. His dislike for black people may have motivated him to criticize his sex life. But his initial post had nothing to do with the man's race. If you want to attempt to label that completely neutral statement otherwise, then at what point would one be able to criticize a person who happens to be a minority, without it being considered racist?
Perhaps you recall the thread where HBB accused me of being a homophobe for using the phrase gay club. It takes a special kind of stupid to run around accusing people of using -isms for making neutral statements of fact. Perhaps we should all just avert our eyes and pretend that minorities don't exist, for fear of offending someone by acknowledging them. |
Dude, who do you think I am? I'm not some politically correct nutjob. I get that being black doesn't immunize you from criticism. You can go ahead and criticize black people, black culture, etc. all you want and I won't care. But in Darwoth's case I was merely pointing out the obvious and saying that he was only saying those things about MLK because Darwoth is a white supremacist. Notice I didn't say, "it's racist to accuse MLK of adultery". I said, "you will say anything to make the black man look bad". I made this accusation not just because of
what was said about MLK, but because of
who was saying it. If the average poster on this forum had said it, I wouldn't have said anything (well, I might have responded to the nonsense about MLK being a communist).
