Thought I'd add a how to do this in easy to follow steps:
1) Trim your eq installation or a copy of you installation (if you want to log in to other servers with post-velious material) using
Duxa's Installer
2) Get
ImDisk, allows you to make a virtual disk from system memory (ram)
3) Create virtual disk with 3GB of system memory, it only uses what it actually uses, 2gb disk can give you low-mem warning.
4) Copy the entire Everquest folder into the new virtual disk, (should take a min or two). Run that EQ version.
5) Remember to copy your UI or other changes as once you shut down your computer the ram copy will disappear.
Side-effects: 1) You will zone insanely fast. 2) You may have to fiddle with UI every time. 3) You have only yourself to blame for kite deaths now.
